Leininger’s principle is providing proper care methods which are in harmony with the beliefs, cultural values and practices of a person and team. Madeleine Leininger is deemed the founding father of the intercultural principle of nursing. The theory of his has today produced like a discipline in nursing. Intercultural nursing goes beyond understanding and requires the proper care of the cultural nurse to perform responsible and congruent culturally care (Polit, & Beck, 2012).
